SOCIAL INITIATIVES

Law students of today are the pillars of the legal system of tomorrow. In an effort to better prepare and train future lawyers for their professional career, the Partners and the Senior Associates of Makes & Partners deliver lectures and conduct legal training for law students of various universities, including, the Faculty of Law, University of Pelita Harapan, University of Indonesia and the University of Padjadjaran. The objective behind the lectures and the training is to provide the law students an exposure to the practical aspects of law and to help them in developing the necessary skills like drafting, negotiation, document review, and appreciation of commercial and legal issues.

Keeping in line with our commitment towards social and legal education projects in Indonesia, Makes & Partners has started a Fellowship Program for doctorate students in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia. Further, as recognition towards our contribution to legal education, our Managing Partner, Mr. Yozua Makes was recently awarded the title of Distinguished Associate Professor for Capital Markets Law by Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH).
